Introducing the Transition conference 2010 blog

Hello.
This is a blog about the Transition Network UK Conference, from The Seale Hayne Agricultural College.
We’ll be asking conference folks to write posts for it as the conference progresses and afterwards. We’re hoping that we can convince them to give us their views and perspectives in a ‘newsy’ kind of way, so fingers crossed on that one. Anyone wants to help, please get in touch on email or come and say hello onsite.
This conference blog co-exists with Rob Hopkins‘ bountiful Transition Culture blog where there will be more ‘culture-y’ material from Rob and other suitable characters.

We feel that the conference is best experienced in person, so our main focus is making the onsite experience as special as the previous transition conferences. And we’re also planning to share as much as possible on the web during and after the conference. This’ll be a spur of the moment, seat of the pants operation, particularly given the local constraints we have. So we recommend that you get stuck in via the social network channels below to get a flavour for what’s going on.
If the wifi behaves itself, we’ll publish:
- ‘newsy’ updates from the conference on this one: the Transition Network Conference 2010 blog, authored by keen folks
- ‘culture-y’ updates on the Transition Culture blog authored by Rob Hopkins and guests of fine repute
If it is also possible, we will publish:
- videos on the Transition Towns Youtube Channel
- photos in the Transition Towns Flickr group
- twitter updates on the Transition Towns Twitter account
And for those of you who know all this fandangled web jargon, we will ‘tag’ all our content as “#ttcon2010”. You are warmly invited to join in with photos and tweets.
